My love for gardening

I have always loved gardening. Starting in my childhood, spending my summers with my grandparents. While at their farmhouse, my grandfather would do most of the planting, growing, and harvesting, while my grandmother did most of the cooking and canning. To this very day, I cherish the memories of time spent with them and my cousins.

My husband and I…our love for gardening continues to grow

Since we are southern natives living in the USDA gardening Zone 8b, we can pretty much garden all year long. I didn’t mind that fact, until recently.

As a result, I have decided July is just way too hot for this old girl. Now my husband, on the other hand, wants to keep gardening every month of the year. Although I must admit I will sneak in a little gardening whenever I can find a shady spot and hopefully a breeze! Fall is my favorite time of the year to garden.

The reason for the blog

Since reading and following blogs for a decade, wow time sure flies. I now find myself wanting to start a blog of my own. I love looking back at my favorite bloggers to see the progress they have made with their blogs and lifestyle. Heck, to watch them and their families grow. The inspiration, the courage to move on to the next project, stage or season of life.
